About Sort
Sort is a quick sorting game. Each card tells you the rule, sort by colour or sort by shape, and you swipe it to the side that matches.
Later rounds switch the rule between cards. Dropping one rule and picking up the other without slowing down is the whole challenge, the same idea as a task switching test.
Tips for a higher score
- Read the rule before you look at the card.
- Expect the switch. Say the rule in your head as each card arrives.
- On a phone, swiping is quicker than tapping.

Sort: questions
How do you play Sort?
Each card says how to sort: by colour or by shape. Swipe toward the matching side, or tap that side.
Is Sort free to play?
Yes. Play Sort free in your browser, with no sign-up and no download. It is also in the free Sharpday app for Android.
Why is Sort harder than it looks?
Your brain wants to keep using the last rule. When a card switches from colour to shape, that habit costs a moment, and on a timer a moment matters.
